Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd. Wife Claims Miss. Congressman’s Affair Derailed Marriage, Career

JACKSON, Miss. — The estranged wife of former U.S. Rep. Chip Pickering claims in a lawsuit that the Mississippi Republican had an affair that ruined their marriage and derailed his political career.

Leisha Pickering said in the lawsuit filed this week that her husband and the woman dated in college, reconnected and began having an affair while he was in Congress and living in a building where several Christian lawmakers reside on C Street near the U.S. Capitol. Chip Pickering is the third Republican with ties to the building at 133 C Street SE to find his personal life making headlines in recent weeks, after Nevada U.S. Sen. John Ensign and South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford.

Kills Lyrics. The Dead Weather Horehound

Expectations for a project featuring members of the White Stripes, the Raconteurs, the Kills, and Queens of the Stone Age would almost have to run high. After all, these are all bands that find ways to draw on the classic tenets of rock without sounding completely indebted to the past. Yet the — which combines the talents of , , , and — aren’t so much concerned with living up to expectations as they are about defying them. There’s a different kind of alchemy on Horehound than on any of the bandmembers’ other projects.

Not only does returns to his first instrument, the drums, he also trades in the high-pitched yelp he uses with the and for a deeper, at-times unrecognizable, voice on “I Cut Like a Buffalo,” the lone Horehound track he wrote by himself. The ’s sound isn’t so much heavy as it is thick with a tense atmosphere that’s sustained throughout most of the album, and the group shuns the tighter structures of their other bands for a bluesy, jammy grind. Horehound’s opening track, “60 Feet Tall,” shows just how explosive this sound can be, from the teasing guitars and percussion that begin it to its lunging climax. Sexual tension is one of the few constants between the and and ’s other bands, and they use it particularly well on “Hang You from the Heavens” and “Treat Me Like Your Mother,” where their vocals and the lyrics “left, right, left, right” suggest a dance, or a fight, or something in between.

Potter Half Blood Prince Review. film, harry potter, what’s on leicester, leicestershire, listings,

OMG, the owl-bothering wimpy wizard from spell school just got sexy. He’s still trying to hide it, along with his equally developing co-stars, in these previews of this sixth installment of JK Rowling’s multi-story compendium – but in true cinematic style, the protagonists will be pushing 30 by the time the teen movie series is completed anyway, so who gives two hoots? Voldemort is tightening his grip on the Muggle and wizarding worlds, and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was.If that’s not enough to contend with, hormones are raging across the ramparts. The Dark Lord or teenage angst – we’re not sure which is more scary. See our to find out where to watch today’s advanced screenings.

The full review of this film will be in tomorrow’s Week.

Netflix. If you set up strategies for monetizing online video or video in general, and you satisfy this group,

JULY 7 | DIGITAL: American consumers with broadband Internet service download 14 billion movies and videos a year, but just a fraction of those, 15%, are legally purchased, according to a new report, “,” from research firm In-Stat, a sister company to VB. The majority of those films are likely downloaded and shared through peer-to-peer online sites by a small subset of broadband households. But rather than go after those households with lawsuits, treat them as criminals or lobby legislators for more copyright protection, In-Stat said studios could instead convert them into legal purchasers by making it easier for them and other consumers to watch movies when and where they want.

“The long-term evolution of this space is pretty well agreed upon that people will ultimately get the content they want on the screen of choice where they want and when they want it,” principal analyst Keith Nissen said. “It’s a question of how do you get there.” Nissen argues that the best way is to use Digital Rights Management technology to enable consumers to watch content in more ways on more devices, rather than using it to prevent consumers from making backups or transferring content to devices.

Play Play. UFC 100 Lesnar VS Mir: Analysis

Considering the long list of people who ARE bonifide “one-punch-knockout” specialists who have tried and FAILED to knock out Nog, I don’t think you can count that against Mir. Not even a little bit. The fact that he did enough damage via striking to end the fight is absolutely amazing. Mir’s standup vs Nogueria was a pleasant surprise to pretty much everyone.

It is noteworthy that Mir started out in Kempo Karate, so he’s got a decent background in striking. He’s pretty much never showcased his striking in his entire MMA career, other than the Nogueria fight. The trouble with Nogueria is that he’s not a good striker, so we don’t know what Mir’s standup looks like against someone who is more specialized in striking.

ImageShack Hacked by Anti

Sorry to say this, but, whine about it less. If it’s that important of an organization, set up an Apache server, and host the images yourself. If you won’t do that, because you don’t want to take the time, why should other organizations and companies be held accountable for your organization’s stuff, when they’re doing you a favor in the first place? Apache is free also, and can be set up with minimal tech knowledge. There are also guides everywhere, and a few images won’t be hard to host at all. You could even make yourself a site, if you wanted.

If you can’t set up an apache server because of bandwidth strain, then you are a large organization, quit being cheap and get some real Large Organization hosting, instead of being cheap… Myspace, really? But in the event you are a small organization, then you could host an apache server, since it is simple, and becasue of being a small organization, you should get a small amount of views, and therefore need a small server, and a small amount of bandwidth. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you. ImageShack does what they can for you for free, so don’t whine about it when they have issues outside their control. And if you have to REDO it all, you are, quite frankly, a complete retard.

Craig Kilborn. If this political and social commentary thing doesn’t pan out, that isolation factor could start kicking into high gear real soon.

Which part was Quincy Jones, and which part was him again? Because in the that Smith referenced, the term ‘for crying out loud’ does not appear. Nor, to my understanding, does the term ‘bleached his skin,’ but at this point who’s really counting. Okay, so quoting people is not his forte. Let’s try, hmm, the music industry (while sitting at a table with a top recording artist and music mogul): You look at the music industry and you got people selling (chuckles), you know, DVDs and what have you. That’s just the way the world works.

But the reality is that whatever assists in your popularity, it assists in your popularity. So, then make sure, you know, as an artist, you’re not going anywhere. If people are listening to you and you’re popular, you’re going to get noticed no matter what. Just because people are selling singles as opposed to albums your popularity is your popularity.

Maya Angelou. Jackson enthralls his final audience

Some 20,000 people gathered inside the Staples Center on Tuesday for a somber, spiritual ceremony, watched by untold millions more around the world as they celebrated a man whose immense talents almost drowned beneath the spectacle of his life and fame. A star-studded lineup of performers closely linked to Jackson’s life and music reached back for the essence of the man. They remembered Jackson as an unparalleled singer, dancer and humanitarian whose music united people of all backgrounds. “Don’t focus on the scars, focus on the journey,” said the Rev. Al Sharpton, whose fiery eulogy was an emotional high point of the service.

“Every time he got knocked down, he got back up,” Sharpton said, and the applauding crowd again jumped to its feet. Sharpton rode the moment, building to a crescendo. “There wasn’t nothing strange about your daddy.

Pictures Sahel Kazemi. Brief romance ends tragically

As her birthday approached in May, Abdi said, Kazemi wanted the family to visit Nashville. “Don’t buy me any gifts, just come and spend my birthday with me,” she told Abdi and her sister. Abdi said they met and partied with McNair at local clubs.

Still, the family was hoping she’d reconsider moving back to Florida. The family was worried about the rapid relationship and the extravagance that came with it. “She was in a Bentley and I don’t think it was right because there are jealous people,” Abdi said. “People were telling her that they didn’t have anyone to pay their bills or buy them things.” Kazemi first came to Nashville nearly four years ago with her then-boyfriend, Keith Norfleet.
