Galaxy. Angry Beckham confronts trash

The midfielder attempted to jump over a barrier as he left the field at half-time into a section of the crowd that had been jeering him. The former England captain was held back by security staff, who also needed to restrain an angry fan who left his seat and rushed towards the footballer. The 34-year-old afterwards tried to explain what had happened by saying: “One of the guys was saying things that really wasn’t very nice. It was stepping over the line.

I said ‘You need to calm down and come shake my hand’ and he jumped over.” Asked whether his intention was to do “a Cantona” and attack the fan, Beckham smiled and said: “No, of course not.” The man was arrested by California State Dominguez Hills police for trespassing because he left the seating area, a Home Depot Center spokeswoman said. “I know there was some turmoil in the corner but I didn’t see it so I can’t comment,” Galaxy manager Bruce Arena said.

Dame Edna. Heidi Stephens: Britain’s Got Talent Episode 3 Liveblog

So, before we kick off, I’d just like to confess that I have never watched Britain’s Got Talent before (other than Susan Boyle on YouTube, obv), because it features Piers Morgan, which renders it unfit for my televisual consumption. But despite the presence of this odious little cockweasel, I am relinquishing my BGT virginity on the basis that a) I might be missing out on TV heaven and probably shouldn’t knock it ’til I’ve tried it, and b) Jason Deans asked me nicely. Also, just a short note to those of you that may have taken the time to pop by to inform us that this is a horrendous dumbing down of The Guardian and a total waste of internet space. Can you not bother? ‘Cos it’s just a bit of fun, and there’s lots of other blogs and news stories out there that may be more to your taste so, you know, be nice.

Anyway, tonight we are promised more singing and dancing, and a guy who does some act with knives (which alas does not involve Piers being strapped to a cheeseboard). I’m excited. No, really. Are you? Back at 8pm! 8.00pm: It’s starting! We are promised more amazing acts, fighting for the prize of a lifetime – £100k, and performing for The Queen. I bet she can’t wait.

Arsenio Hall. SouthCoastToday.com: Cartoon movie adaptations and send

For a less cheeky adaptation of a story that spawned a movie blockbuster, there’s the continuing adventures of “Iron Man: Armored Adventures” (7 p.m., Nicktoons). Movie/cartoon adaptations continue with “Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Decoded” (9 p.m., Cartoon Network), an enhancement of the series from LucasFilm Entertainment.

Every “Decoded” episode will include text windows to provide commentary, insight and trivia about the series’ epic story and myriad details. And to think, this approach all began with “Pop Up Videos.” – Over on “Ghost Whisperer” (8 p.m., CBS, TV-PG,V), Melinda runs into a haunting on a whole new scale when it appears that apparitions have inhabited a dollhouse.

Stephanie Naumoska. Miss Universe Australia In “Skinny” Controversy

“They have long, lithe bodies and small bones. It is their body type, just like Asian girls tend to be small,” Miller said. But Australian Medical Association president Rosanna Capolingua, whose organization represents Australian doctors, said the contest should impose a minimum BMI cut-off of 20. “The most unhealthy part about it, though, is the image it is showing other young women who may view this as normal, when clearly it s not,” Capolingua said. While Naumoska refused to speak to media, nutritionist Susie Burrell told the Herald Sun newspaper there was no such thing as a Macedonian body type.

Eventual winner Finch will compete in the Miss Universe world finals in the Bahamas in August.

Venus Song. Confessions of a TV

Another week, another round of songs from our American Idol top eight. The theme: songs from the year a contestant was born. Aka: the 80’s. After last week’s lackluster performances from our fab nine, I hoped this week would improve.

I was both so wrong, yet so right. Something special occurred this time around: my mom and I attended the dress rehearsals. So, I was looking forward to knowing who rocked it and who knocked it before America weighed in. Unfortunately, there were some mayja differences between the live performances and those televised. Based on rehearsals, I believed America and the judges would love Lil Rounds (that’s her real name, so don’t wear it out), Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert, and Matt Giraud.

Izzo. The Spartans take pride in thriving on pressure

Izzo joked he might have Raymar Morgan stand on Delvon Roe’s shoulders to defend Connecticut 7-foot-3 center, Hasheem Thabeet. “We need everybody we got,” Izzo said. Advertisement After a convincing 64-52 victory over Louisville, before more than 30,000 Cardinals fans at Lucas Oil Stadium, guard Travis Walton appeared unfazed. “Pressure is what Michigan State is all about,” he said.

“Coach always tells us about his story; two years into his job he had pressure to deliver — he delivered.” Michigan State advanced to its fifth Final Four in 11 years and improved to 14-2 under Izzo in the second game of an NCAA Tournament weekend. Michigan State also did it while Morgan struggled.

Smokey Robinson. Adam Lambert Thrills Judges On ‘American Idol’ With Emotional Performance

Guest mentor Smokey Robinson, who originally performed the classic song with the Miracles, rose to his feet after watching the 26-year-old theater actor hit all the right notes during Wednesday’s Motown-themed installment of the “Fox” singing competition. Lambert, who’s from Los Angeles, ditched his rocker duds for a sleek silver suit and smoothed his black hair back into an Elvis-style pompadour. Judge said Lambert delivered the night’s best performance and became a star in his eyes. Fellow judge agreed, saying Lambert showed “true artistry.” The four judges were also equally impressed by the vocal stylings of Allison Iraheta, Matt Giraud and Kris Allen.

Cowell liked Allen’s cover of “How Sweet It Is” but said the 23-year-old married heartthrob from Conway, Ark., needs to show more swagger and confidence. Lil Rounds and Danny Gokey scored mixed reviews for their respective renditions of “Heat Wave” and “Get Ready.” Cowell told Rounds, 24, of Memphis, Tenn., she’d missed a potential “Idol”-defining “moment” by picking the wrong song (he’d rather hear the soul singer belt “I Heard It Through The Grapevine”).
