Madonna has revealed that her new Greatest Hits album is called Celebration. The career-spanning compilation, which will be available in both single disc and two-CD versions, will be released in the UK on September 28. A DVD featuring the singer’s most popular videos will be made available on the same day. It will be preceded by a single, also called ‘Celebration’, which will receive its first radio play on August 3. Produced by Madonna and Paul Oakenfold, ‘Celebration’ is one of two new songs on the album.

Madonna recently shot the accompanying video in Milan with longtime collaborator Jonas Akerlund. In addition to the new songs, four classic Madonna hits have been confirmed for the album’s tracklisting: ‘Everybody’, ‘Express Yourself’, ‘Vogue’ and ‘4 Minutes’. The Celebration album cover – pictured above right – has been designed by Mr. Brainwash, an LA-based street artist. Madonna has notched up 62 UK top ten hits since making her chart debut in 1984, 13 of which have reached number one.

Mount Hood. Competitive fire burns brightly for this triathlete

A pulled hamstring during a 1999 triathlon sidelined Fahner-Vihtelic, but after 10 years away from the intense mental and physical activity, Fahner-Vihtelic signed up for the July 5 Buffalo Triathlon. Encouraged with his effort, he registered for his first NYC Triathlon, which is expected to draw 3,400 athletes from 50 states and 20 countries to Manhattan. But Fahner-Vihtelic’s actions reach beyond triathlons.

In 2005 he started working with wounded soldiers just back from Iraq, assisting these veterans at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Many of the veterans, most in their early to late 20s, have no idea what sports are available to them, Fahner-Vihtelic said, so he counsels them on becoming active.

Cache. No Erin Andrews Peephole Video Download, But She Will Sue

There is no need to try extra hard to find online the cache version of Erin Andrews peephole video for download. Today, the internet population has been obsessed with the Erin Andrews video, but wherever you go there is not even a cached version. However, a lawyer says she will sue and take legal action to defend herself. According to “a lawyer for the popular ESPN sideline reporter says that she was unwittingly videotaped through a peephole in a hotel room without her consent and that she intends to take legal action against the still unknown perpetrators.” The video, which was later posted on the Internet, showed a woman without clothes.

Reports say the initial video posting made no direct reference to Erin Andrews being that woman, but her attorney later confirmed it. “While alone in the privacy of her hotel room, Erin Andrews was surreptitiously videotaped without her knowledge or consent,” Andrews’ attorney, Marshall B. Grossman, said in a statement via PR Newswire. “She was the victim of a crime and is taking action to protect herself and help ensure that others are not similarly violated in the future.

Final Performance. Susan Boyle Loses ‘Britain’s Got Talent’

Asked if it was worth it, she replied, “Well worth it! Well worth it! To hell with everything!” Asked if she feels at home onstage, she said, “I really feel at home onstage, of course I do, I’m among friends am I not?” she asked, looking straight into the crowd. Judge Piers Morgan, who commented extensively on Boyle’s hardships last week, even citing negative headlines before saying, “I thought, all you have to do to answer all your critics… is sing the song we all fell in love with, sing it better than you did last time, and Susan, I’m not supposed to favor anyone in this competition as a judge, but forget it, that was the greatest performance I’ve seen in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ history, you should win this competition, I loved it!” Boyle grimaced slightly and put her hand over her face. Judge Amanda Holden seconded his praise, adding that “Simon [Cowell] had a tear in his eye, and I’ve never seen that before.” For his part, Cowell referred to her “weird seven weeks” and said, “You had every right to walk away from this … and a lot of people said you shouldn’t even be in this competition, that you’re not equipped to deal with it.

For what? For you to sit at home with your cat and say ‘I’ve missed an opportunity’? I completely disagree with that. Win or lose, you had the guts to come back here tonight and face your critics, and you beat them. And that’s the most important thing. Whatever happens, and I’ve got to know the real Susan Boyle, who is not the person I’ve seen portrayed in the media, you can walk away from this, win or lose, with your head held high. I absolutely adore you.”.

Bay To Breakers Nears; Watch It Live On CBS5.com

Some of the world’s fastest runners and many of the Bay Area’s weekend warriors will be competing in the 98th annual Bay to Breakers 12k marathon in San Francisco on Sunday. The sometimes wacky event begins downtown at 8 a.m. and snakes its way to the Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park. CBS5.com will provide live streaming video coverage online of the race from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Runners were warned in advance that it would be unseasonably warm for this weekend’s race.

For those more intent on having fun than winning the race, there will be some noticeable changes this year. Among them is the new ban on alcohol. “We will be working with the San Francisco police department to confiscate kegs and glass bottles. This was done to make sure that we’re providing a safe, fun, respectful race,” said Angela Fang, race general manager.

Carlos. NBA.com Boozer leads Jazz back into series

SALT LAKE CITY(AP) After struggling with his shot all night, Deron Williams found his touch just in time. Williams’ fadeaway jumper with 2.2 seconds left lifted Utah to an 88-86 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night, getting the Jazz back in the first-round playoff series they opened with two losses.

Williams took the shot instead of passing to Carlos Boozer on the Jazz’s staple pick-and-roll, hitting just his third field goal of the night and reviving Utah’s postseason hopes. &#34I just wanted to make up for it a little bit on that last shot,” said Williams, who finished with 13 points and nine assists. Boozer led the Jazz with 23 points and tied a franchise playoff record with 22 rebounds as Utah dominated the boards 55-40.

Naturally. Opinions on the news in the Twin Cities and Minnesota

If all of the nation’s bloggers screamed at once, would it make a sound? We had an opportunity to answer that question this week when news broke of the bonuses paid by bailed-out insurance giant AIG. The recipient of more than $170 billion in taxpayer money handed out more than $160 million to many of the people who made the bailout necessary. The outrage was almost universal. On the conservative side, Rick Moran of summed it up.

I am as disgusted and angry as any American over the AIG bonuses given to a bunch of executives whose performance has been so catastrophically bad that in a just and moral society, they would have been in the stocks rather than laughing all the way to the bank with what amounts to our money. (Actually, it’s our children’s money, but who’s counting?) It really is too bad we no longer put violators of the moral order in stocks. The Puritans certainly had the right idea …; I’m sure you can see the efficacy of putting all of these bank big shots in the stocks. That way, we can all have a crack at them. We might even consider taking the show on the road, as it were, and go from city to city, town to town, with executives from AIG, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Bank of America, and all the other bail out blue noses whose stupidity and utter disregard of good business practices (limiting risk) got us in this mess.

Current Time. The Tribune Democrat, Johnstown, PA

Jim Bowden made a meteoric rise from humble beginnings in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ organization. He started his career as the assistant media relations director in 1984.Current Astros General Manager Ed Wade was the head of the media relations department then. Eight years later, Bowden became, at the time, the youngest GM in baseball history when he took over the Cincinnati Reds at 31. Now, Bowden’s career could be over.

Bowden resigned as the Washington Nationals’ GM last Sunday under heavy pressure after reports surfaced that he was being investigated by the FBI for allegedly skimming bonus money paid to amateur players signed by the Nationals from the Dominican Republic. “I’ve become a distraction and, unless you’re Manny Ramirez, there is no place for distractions in baseball,” Bowden said. Bowden’s resignation came in the wake of Major League Baseball investigators determining that a Nationals shortstop prospect claiming to be Esmailyn “Smiley” Gonzalez and 16 years old when he signed for a $1.4-million bonus in 2005 was actually four years older and named Carlos Alvarez.
